Notes
The Zarahemla Foundation is a family friendly, community of faith based strictly on the pattern established in the Book of Mormon. We fellowship together as a body of families and small groups along the Wasatch Front in Utah. The Zarahemla Foundation is a fellowship that is geared to facilitate a safe environment for families and individuals that have embraced the message of the restored Gospel and returning to the restoration from various backgrounds. We seek to adhere to the word of God in Coming to Christ and cultivating relationships as brothers and sisters in his word. We adhere to the principle that the center of worship is within the home and with the head(s) of that home constituting the presiding authority in the home. Our community desires to empower families and small groups by providing a larger community of faith and fellowship to associate and support the family and the home. We follow a yearly scripture reading schedule that includes the TaNakh (Old Testament), New Testament, and Book of Mormon in our meetings.Sacrament:Our Sacrament meeting follows the strict pattern as practiced in Israel and the Book of Mormon. We meet every Sunday at 11:00 AM. The sacrament meeting is 1 hour and adheres strictly to the protocol of Alma and his people in the Book of Mormon. During this time we partake of the sacrament, read strictly out of the scriptures, and set apart a time for prayer and those requesting prayer. The meeting is then promptly closed to allow for socializing or for families to retire to their homes. For those families who celebrate Shabbat in their homes as a day of worship and rest we offer our community sacrament on Sunday as an auxiliary to your home and family centered worship.Sunday School:We currently have one small group that has established a family Sunday School for families with small children and teenagers. If you are interested in having your family attend this private Sunday School please email us accordingly for details. This is a facilitator lead group study that develops and covers various scripture based studies and topics. If you are interested in our current course of study, please email us accordingly for details.Appointed Times:As a Fellowship we also celebrate the Appointed times of Israel- Passover, Shavuot, Sukkot, etc. Men's and Women's support groups are currently underway.Group Vision:And they were called the church of God, or the church of Christ, from that time forward. And it came to pass that whosoever was baptized by the power and authority of God was added to his church. And it came to pass that Alma, having authority from God, ordained priests; even one priest to every fifty of their number did he ordain to preach unto them, and to teach them concerning the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. And he commanded them that they should teach nothing save it were the things which he had taught, and which had been spoken by the mouth of the holy prophets.Yea, even he commanded them that they should preach nothing save it were repentance and faith on the Lord, who had redeemed his people. And he commanded them that there should be no contention one with another, but that they should look forward with one eye, having one faith and one baptism, having their hearts knit together in unity and in love one towards another. And thus he commanded them to preach. And thus they became the children of God. (Alma 18:17-22). Contact Charlotte or Melissa for details and come fellowship with us.
