As of this moment I am alone here in Queens NY. As far as I know I am the only one, at least in the five burrows of New York City, that seeks to follow the Doctrine of Christ as given by the Lord in 3 Nephi in the Book of Mormon. To the best of my knowledge I am the only one here who is part of this movement of believers, has been Baptized, received the Baptism of Fire and the Holy Ghost, and been sustained by seven women to perform the ordinance of Baptism and blessing the Sacrament. For some reason the Lord has seen fit to place me here and my hope is that if anyone is here, now or in the future, they will know they are not alone. That they do indeed have a brother in Christ and fellowship here.
The Lord gave us a commandment in D&C 43:8, that says, "... when ye are assembled together ye shall instruct and edify each other, that ye may know how to act and direct my church, how to act upon the points of my law and commandments, which I have given." When a fellowship is formed here it must be centered upon the Doctrine of Christ, and how we deal with each other must be "...only by persuasion, by long-suffering, by gentleness and meekness, and by love unfeigned; By kindness, and pure knowledge, which shall greatly enlarge the soul without hypocrisy, and without guile— Reproving betimes with sharpness, when moved upon by the Holy Ghost; and then showing forth afterwards an increase of love toward him whom thou hast reproved, lest he esteem thee to be his enemy; That he may know that thy faithfulness is stronger than the cords of death" (D&C 121:41-44). This way we can "all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ" (Eph. 4:13-15). We must be of one heart and one mind becoming a family of God. If there is anyone out there that desires to get in contact and take the sacrament please email or call me.
P.S. I am a really big fan of hugs. You have been warned!
